The Groomer's Helper Contract and Waiver

 Quick Note Before We Begin:  

This agreement ensures we’re on the same page about your dog’s care before, during, and after your big day. I want everything to run smoothly so your Very Important Pup (VIP) feels safe, confident, and adorable every step of the way. Please read through and sign at the bottom.

The TUX Rehearsal (Required)

This is a mandatory pre-wedding meet-up, ideally held the evening before the ceremony.

The TUX Rehearsal includes:

• A Tote check: Drop off your dog’s Wag Bag (see below).

• A Uniform trial: Outfit fitting and walk-through to ensure your pup is comfortable and camera-ready.

• An eXperience preview: Venue sniff, family hellos, and a behavioral wellness check (more on that below!).

This rehearsal is essential to avoid wedding-day surprises. If the dog’s behavior or health raises concerns, I’ll let you know immediately and may recommend a revised care plan.

Wag Bag Checklist  (Bring to the TUX Rehearsal)

Your pup’s overnight or event kit (“Wag Bag”) must include:

• All costume pieces (tux, dress, bandana, collar, leash, etc.)

• Pre-portioned food and medications, labeled clearly

• Any comfort items (toy, blanket, etc.)

• Treats (optional, but helpful!)

Booking + Payment

• A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding date and will be applied to your final invoice.

• Final balance is due by the evening of the Tux Rehearsal.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are subject to full payment unless waived at my discretion.

• Prices vary based on your dog’s breed, coat, temperament, and the services requested. A custom quote is provided after reviewing your intake form.

Tub Time Prep

Grooming matters! I recommend booking a professional groom 5–7 days before the wedding for best results. My service is a glow-up bath with luxury products, not a full groom.

Tub time includes:

• Bath with gentle, high-end shampoo & conditioner

• Blow dry, brushing, ear check, and nail trim or grind

• Use of soft restraints or a muzzle if needed for safety

• Relaxing meditation sounds for dogs

Please let me know about:

• Sensitivities to noise, touch, drying, or bathing

• Past experiences with grooming

• Any accessories your pup isn’t used to wearing

  
  

Wellness & Behavior Check

Before services begin, you confirm:

• Your dog is up-to-date on rabies and core vaccinations

  • Please provide proof if you did not do so on your intake form.

• Your dog is free of fleas, open wounds, or contagious conditions

• Any health concerns or temperament issues have been disclosed

• Your dog is not pregnant, in heat, or at risk of medical distress during basic handling

• Your dog is on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention

During our meet-up, I’ll gently assess your dog’s:

• Coat condition (matting, cleanliness)

• Skin, nails, ears, and teeth

• Comfort level with touch and accessories

This helps me provide a safe, relaxing experience for your dog and flag anything that might require adjustments.

Emergencies + Vet Consent

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency:

• You authorize me to transport your dog to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic, using the vet info provided on your intake form

• You accept financial responsibility for any treatment and agree that I may provide your credit card on file if needed

• You acknowledge I am Pet CPR certified and will act in your dog’s best interest

Safety Tools + Insurance

• I may use safety tools like:

  • Groomer’s Helper restraint

  • Muzzle (if necessary)

  • Slip lead, crate, or seatbelt harness for transport

  I am insured for:

  • Pet handling

  • Pet transportation (Pet Taxi)

  • In-home care (including overnight stays)

  My coverage ensures peace of mind for all parties.

Media & Photography Use

I love showcasing adorable moments! I may take photos or short video clips of your pup during services. These may be used for:

• Social media

• My website

• Promotional materials

• Future client education

If you prefer not to have your pet featured, you may request this privately by email after signing. Otherwise, you grant PAWnte Vedra Pets full usage rights.

Timelines & Delays

• I arrive at least 1 hour before the ceremony for walks, sniff time, and photo prep.

• My packages include buffer time, but I cannot guarantee full coverage if your event is significantly delayed.

• Additional time may result in overtime charges, depending on the package you select.

Let’s stay in close communication to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. I am happy to coordinate logistics with your planner, photographer and other wedding representatives.

Final Notes

You acknowledge that:

• This is a personalized boutique service

• I am a certified bather with professional experience

• I provide loving, one-on-one care rooted in emotional intelligence and calm handling

• You’ve read and understood this agreement and all questions have been answered to your satisfaction
