Attention, Salon Owners and Leads!
Let's turn your talent pipeline from a trickle to a full-on spray. You want the la crème de la crème in your salon, but you don't always have a "pool" from which to pull. That's where I step in (and without anyone even having to set paw outside of The Beaches)! I'll mentor your new bather right there on your turf, guiding them through each stage of the learning curve. You train me once, properly, per your salon's protocols, and I'll make sure your new hire gets the hands-on coaching they need, poco a poco, until they are confident and thriving. If I can make college freshmen at UNF laugh their way through a lesson on the daily routine and reflexive verbs, I can teach anything!

I bring over 20 years of teaching experience into the salon world. For two decades I have taught Spanish from Spanish I all the way through AP, served on the national team that authored the AP Spanish Language Exam, and taught at both Flagler College and UNF. My current work with EF Professional includes corporate training with companies like McDonald’s; showing I can meet learners where they are, whether they’re teenagers, college students, or adults in the workplace.

That same expertise in breaking down complex skills step by step is what I now offer to salons. I spent an entire summer working inside a busy retail grooming salon (May–August), where I bathed and handled dozens of dogs across every coat type, size, and temperament (from 160-pound labs to anxious rescues, from senior poodles to high-energy puppies). My hands/paws-on experience includes:

-
Full bath and blow-dry services
-
Nail trims and grinding (including difficult dogs)
-
Ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression
-
De-shedding treatments with the Furminator® system
-
Handling anxious, nervous, or senior dogs with care

By the numbers: in just one summer season, I logged 50+ dogs across 25+ breeds, giving me a practical foundation in the everyday rhythm of a salon floor.
Where most salons struggle is training. Videos in the breakroom cannot replace hands-on mentoring with a real dog and a real teacher. That’s where I step in. I combine the discipline of an educator with the lived experience of a bather: making sure your new hires are not just watching, but doing, learning, and thriving.
